Role Description

Respond.io’s growth trajectory, bolstered by the successful closing of our Series A funding and a projected 2x - 4x annual recurring revenue increase, has positioned us for further expansion towards a $1 billion valuation. To achieve this ambitious milestone, we seek to hire a distinguished and visionary Head of Marketing to spearhead our marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess an exemplary track record of architecting and scaling high-performance marketing organizations, alongside crafting and executing transformative marketing strategies that drive significant brand equity, customer acquisition, and market penetration. This role demands an astute strategic thinker with the acumen to lead cross-functional teams, harness data-driven insights, and shape the company’s trajectory from a marketing perspective.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership and Planning: Drive the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that align with company goals, identify and capitalize on market opportunities, and define the long-term marketing vision.
  2. Team Leadership and Development: Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement while ensuring the team has the resources and training necessary for success.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration: Partner with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive marketing strategies that align with business objectives and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  4. Data-Driven Insights and Budget Management: Utilize data and customer insights to shape marketing strategies, develop metrics to measure effectiveness, and manage the marketing budget for optimal resource allocation and ROI.
  5. Executive Reporting and Strategic Recommendations: Regularly update the executive team on marketing performance, provide in-depth analysis of key metrics and market trends, and offer strategic recommendations to drive business growth.
  6. Brand Management and Customer Experience: Oversee brand development, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging, enhance brand equity, and collaborate with different departments to improve the customer experience.
  7. Market Research, Competitive Analysis, and Product Marketing: Conduct thorough market research to uncover new opportunities, perform competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, and lead go-to-market strategies for successful product launches.
  8. Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Partnerships, and Innovation: Develop and execute impactful PR strategies, manage corporate communications, forge strategic partnerships, and champion innovative marketing practices.
  9. Thought Leadership and CSR: Position Respond.io as an industry thought leader through content marketing and participation in industry events, while integrating sustainability and corporate social responsibility into marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Chief Marketing Officer, VP of Marketing, or similar senior marketing role in a B2B SaaS company.
  2. Demonstrated success in building and scaling marketing teams and functions from the ground up.
  3. Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  4. Deep understanding of digital marketing, branding, customer acquisition, and marketing technology.
  5. Excellent analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
