Head of Finance (Senior Manager)

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Finance to lead our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, with hands-on expertise in operational costing, product costing, and P&L management. The role demands a proactive leader who can provide financial insights to support business decisions and drive profitability. Experience in IPO preparation or execution is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the entire Finance & Accounts team (7 members), ensuring effective day-to-day operations and financial control.
2. Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
3. Drive and manage operational costing and product costing processes to ensure accurate product pricing and cost optimization.
4. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
5. Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to align financial strategies with production and supply chain activities.
6. Maintain compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
7. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the business.
8. If applicable, lead or support the company through the IPO process, including due diligence, financial structuring, and liaising with advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. 6+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven track record in leading finance teams, preferably in a mid to large-sized manufacturing firm.
4. In-depth knowledge of product costing, operational costing, and P&L management.
5. Experience with Autocount and SAP systems and advanced Excel skills.
6. Strong business acumen with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
8. Experience with IPO processes is a strong plus.

Working Conditions:

This role can be based in either Meru. However, traveling is required as this role is expected to manage all the manufacturing plants & offices under CY Group, which are located at Meru & Rawang.
