HEAD OF FINANCE / GENERAL MANAGER, FINANCE

We are seeking an experienced General Manager, Finance, to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, and strategic planning. This role requires strong knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, and compliance with public company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Lead group-wide financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring compliance with IFRS and accuracy across all subsidiaries.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to align financial goals with corporate objectives.
3. Corporate Banking & Cash Flow Management: Manage corporate banking relationships and optimize cash flow for smooth operations.
4. Strategic Planning: Provide financial guidance on strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and long-term planning.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including internal controls and corporate governance standards.
6. Team Leadership: Develop and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
7. Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing audit recommendations to maintain compliance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (LCCI, ACCA, CIMA).
2. Membership in the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA).
3. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a senior finance/managerial role; experience in the Construction Industry would be an added advantage.
4. Strong technical knowledge in IFRS, group consolidation, and taxation.
5. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with IFCA accounting systems.
6. Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
7. Knowledge of Bursa Malaysia compliance is an advantage.
