Job description

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the Group Corporate Planning team's activities to deliver the initiatives in the Group’s annual corporate plan. This role shall further be responsible for the Group’s digital track initiatives, development of digital strategies for monetization, and other digital initiatives that will be essential in the Group’s digital journey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Group Corporate Planning Initiatives Management

  1. Develop and maintain a yearly list of key strategic initiatives.
  2. Initiate and coordinate the development of the annual Group Business Plan and Budget.
  3. Coordinate and collaborate across the organization to contribute to the development of business strategies/plans.
  4. Partner with all business divisions to ensure strategic business cases and plans are robust and aligned to the overall Group’s business goals.
  5. Help facilitate decision-making during discussions and coordinate follow-through on important takeaway items.
  6. Analyze and present data related to strategy execution to support Senior Management and Board decision making.
  7. Participate in financial analysis, developing potential new investments, ventures, and business relationships.
  8. Provide senior management with concise reporting and insightful analysis.
  9. Evaluate business ideas/investments.
  10. Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking.
  11. Reconcile top-down & bottom-up department plans to division plans.
  12. Provide advice/recommendations that promote investors’ confidence while considering enterprise-wide risks, compliance with rules and regulations, financial viability, and alignment with the Group’s business objectives.

Investor Relations Management

  1. Organize roadshows and press briefings on financial results.
  2. Interpret and analyze data related to the Group that may affect shareholders, including internal financials and third-party industry trends.
  3. Build financial valuations and create financial models to assess the company’s share price and prepare corporate investor relations presentations.
  4. Prepare information such as annual reports and corporate profiles, consolidating relevant material based on user needs.
  5. Create and maintain the Group’s information database for investment information.

Digital Initiatives Feasibility Studies

  1. Generate financial feasibility studies and recommendations for newly identified digital projects.
  2. Conduct market feasibility studies, including SWOT or peer comparison analysis.
  3. Evaluate the viability of digital business proposals presented to the group.
  4. Perform financial projections as required.

Group Digital Strategies and Digital Funding Initiatives

  1. Establish methodologies to formulate Group’s digital strategies, identifying new digital products/services, and evaluating their viability.
  2. Implement digital solutions to meet global customer needs, including commercialization or monetization strategies.
  3. Provide valuable and constructive action plans on projects.
  4. Identify digital technology trends for implementation within the group.
  5. Future: Set up, lead, and implement the group’s new digital initiatives (e.g., Digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Data Analytics, Strategic Marketing for Digital Products, etc.).

Project Management and Corporate Exercise

Corporate Exercise / Project

  1. Provide professional advice on economic analysis and studies for all corporate projects and activities within the Group.
  2. Drive the Group’s corporate exercises and funding.
  3. Develop financial models for forecasting and project analysis.
  4. Manage other special projects as assigned.

Digital Project

  1. Provide valuable and constructive action plans on projects.
  2. Develop business plan proposals for new digital projects.
  3. Supervise and monitor the implementation of projects until the execution of new digital business units or initiatives.
  4. Oversee project management and coordination for each new digital project, including:

1) Regulatory approvals, coordinating with compliance/risk management departments to ensure compliance and submission of regulatory applications.

2) Legal agreements, including negotiations and refinement of agreements between parties involved.

3) Recruitment, including setting up the organization structure and role profiles required, as well as financials, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.

4) Other coordination/management includes marketing, customer relationship management, as well as operations & IT – coordination with the Digital Incubator Technology division.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Finance-related discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
  3. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) - Well-versed with existing and new rules relating to corporate exercises.
