Head Corporate Communications

We’re hiring a Head of Corporate Communication to lead and implement our communication strategy. You will play a key role in managing our public image, ensuring brand consistency, and driving positive engagement with stakeholders and the media. This is a great opportunity for an experienced communications leader with a knack for strategic thinking and a talent for building strong public relations.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute ProtectHealth’s communication plans to enhance brand image and support organisational objectives.
2. Build relationships with media outlets, manage press releases, and serve as a spokesperson when necessary.
3. Lead crisis communication and develop contingency plans for potential issues.
4. Oversee the creation of content for speeches, press releases, and corporate publications, maintaining consistent branding across all materials.
5. Build positive relationships with government bodies, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders.
6. Manage our digital presence and social media strategy, ensuring reach and engagement.
7. Draft and coordinate formal responses to parliamentary questions and state legislative enquiries related to ProtectHealth, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Requirements

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, business management, or other relevant disciplines. (Master’s degree is a plus.)
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Working experience in a not-for-profit organisation will be an added advantage.
3. Proven track record in developing and implementing successful communication strategies and campaigns.
4. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
6. Experience in crisis management and a good understanding of risk communication strategies.
7. Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media and content management systems.
8. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
