Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio property, is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our hotel group, playing a crucial role in supporting our strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the overall financial accounting and reporting for the hotel group
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, as well as cash management
• Collaborate with departmental heads to analyse financial data and provide strategic insights
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Partner with the leadership team to support the group's growth and expansion plans

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience
• Proven track record in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experienced in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
• Familiar with hotel management software and ERP systems
