Group Reporting and Corporate Exercise
- Oversee and manage the group reporting function to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Management, Bursa, tax authorities, and other statutory authorities.
- Oversee and manage the preparation of the annual report and general meetings of shareholders. Execute all corporate exercise of the Group.
- Oversee and manage the preparation of monthly dashboards, and performance analysis of revenue, cost and margin.
Planning, Policy and Investor Relations
- Participate in corporate and financial policy development.
- Participate in the development of financial plans, forecasts, transfer pricing, tax planning and review of business opportunities.
- Oversee and manage the preparation of the annual group budget and forecast update.
- Execute financing strategies and internal procedures enhancement.
- Execute long-term budgetary planning and cost management to align with strategic plans.
- Review all formal finance related procedures, processes and administrations, and recommending improvements to the reporting systems.
- Remain up-to-date on accounting, reporting, tax and audit best practices.
- Occasionally represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, auditors and other external stakeholders.
Finance Administration
- Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting records in accordance with GAAP and FRS.
- Oversee the preparation and review of all financial reporting and reports for the Board of Directors. Oversee asset management and secretarial matters.
- Participate in the maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in relation to all financial functions.
Undertaking special assignments, ad-hoc and other matters as and when required.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Possess professional qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or equivalent) and is a member of MIA.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting and reporting experience at a supervisory level in a public listed environment in Malaysia.
- Well verse with Bursa's Listing Requirements, group consolidation accounts and the Malaysian direct and indirect taxation.
- Experience in corporate and finance operational policy development is a plus.
- Strong leadership qualities and possess experience in supervising a team finance professional and ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all units within the GCFO's department.
- Strong business acumen and business judgement in identifying business opportunities or issues and make sound business and financial advice to the Management.
- Able to work independently and motivate the team in a fast paced and rapidly expanding environment.
- Good computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and be an effective communicator of business issues and solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills.
- Good business networking, and keep up-to-date with industry and financial management trends.
- Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry will be a distinct advantage.
- Able to exercise discretion with utmost confidentiality in handling all matters including but not limited to any information, data, reports, processes and analyses of the clientele, companies, patients, laboratory, the Board of Directors' offices as well as the Group's information and data.
- A good deal of common sense, etiquette, tact, and diplomacy.
- Flexible and mature approach with ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent command of English with excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Commitment to Company's policies, values and corporate objectives.
- Willing to travel, where necessary.
