Job description

This role will be responsible for overseeing and editing all content across idsMED’s communication channels. This includes the website, social media platforms, internal communication platform (idsMED Buzz), marketing collaterals, and corporate communication materials. Acting as the Chief Editor for the Group, this role ensures that all content aligns with idsMED’s brand voice, corporate objectives, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate must possess exceptional English proficiency and editorial skills, with a solid background in content strategy, editing, and publishing. Prior experience in the healthcare sector or a strong interest in medical device and healthcare will be an advantage.

This position is based out of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia or Jakarta Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary editor for all group-wide content, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and quality across platforms.
  • Edit and refine articles, publications, speeches, memos, and other corporate materials before publication.
  • Custodian of content published on the idsMED website, social media, and internal platforms (idsMED Buzz), ensuring alignment with company direction, policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with other business departments at the group and across the six countries to develop high-quality content that supports business objectives.
  • Develop and enforce content guidelines to maintain a consistent brand voice and storytelling approach.
  • Monitor trends in healthcare and medical technology to generate relevant and engaging content.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure localization and cultural appropriateness of content across different ASEAN markets.
  • Provide editorial guidance and training to internal contributors as well as country Marcom teams to improve overall content quality.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements in healthcare communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of editorial, content management, or publishing experience.
  • Exceptional command of English (written and verbal), with strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Proven experience in content strategy, corporate communication, and digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, social media content, and digital publishing best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and design tools is a plus.
