Your new role

  1. Support the Group Accounts team in preparing internal and external reports during monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting cycles. Key tasks include preparing shareholder circulars, Group Audited Financial Statements (AFS), and Integrated Annual Reports.
  2. Monitor report submissions from the Group's companies and resolve audit and accounting issues. Provide technical accounting advice to the companies as needed.
  3. Make administrative decisions within the role's scope, seeking approval when necessary. Prioritise tasks and manage time to meet deadlines. Efficiently manage resources and networks across the Group.
  4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and reports. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Handle confidential information with discretion.
  5. Foster collaboration within and across divisions to achieve corporate goals. Develop professional relationships with the Group's companies and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
  6. Manage financial reporting and consolidation for assigned entities. Resolve accounting and audit issues promptly. Provide technical advice on consolidation, accounting standards, and related issues.
  7. Assist other divisions with financial alignment for internal and external reporting. Consolidate group results and prepare audited financial statements. Prepare internal and external reports based on consolidated results.
  8. Monitor financial reporting and audit issues to ensure timely submissions. Coordinate accurate financial information between internal divisions. Support the Head, GFC, GCFO, and GCEO with financial reporting and ad-hoc projects.

What you'll need to succeed

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional memberships (e.g., ACCA, MIA, ICAEW, CPA) are essential.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in group consolidation, with a preference for candidates with audit experience.
  3. External auditors with managerial experience are encouraged to apply.
  4. Strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting standards.
  5. Proficiency in IBM Controller and Cognos Disclosure Management, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Preferably experienced in the Telco, Infrastructure, or Technology sectors.
  7. Highly motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptable to changes and able to meet deadlines.
