Job Description:
Group Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Bursa Malaysia Compliance: Manage all reporting obligations to Bursa Malaysia, ensuring timely submission of quarterly and annual reports, as well as compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide insights on the group’s financial performance, identifying trends and variances for management reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities, collaborating with subsidiary finance teams to consolidate budgets and forecasts.
Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and available for review.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard group assets.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management, finance teams, and other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive financial performance across the group.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a group accounting or consolidation role within a public listed company, preferably in the property development sector.
Consolidation Expertise: Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and experience in managing group financial reporting.
Bursa Reporting Knowledge: Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia's reporting requirements and regulatory framework.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
