Group Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Group Accountant to join our dynamic team at Niche Capital Emas Holdings Berhad ("NICE").

As the Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting processes for our organisation. This full-time position is based in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Overseeing the month-end close process, including the review and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
Preparing and updating tax computation, and liaising with Tax Agent on tax queries and submission of annual income tax returns.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reporting requirements.
Providing support and guidance to the finance team on accounting-related matters.
Liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of audits and other financial reporting obligations.
Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
Identifying areas for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance financial reporting efficiency.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar role with a public listed company.
Proficient in the application of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
A member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants with recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) would be an advantage.
