Group Accountant

Your new role

• Oversee group consolidation and compliance with MFRS.
• Prepare interim financial reports for Bursa Malaysia and present them to the Audit Committee/Board.
• Finalize annual audited financial statements and resolve audit findings.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including general ledger activities.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
• Supervise annual budget preparation and quarterly performance reviews.
• Assess financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and recommend procedural improvements.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Lead improvement projects and support digitization and sustainability initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field and / or accountancy membership.
• Experience in managing accounts for a public listed company or experience working in a reputable accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and Malaysian taxation and Listing Requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information effectively to stakeholders at various levels. An excellent team player.
