Group Accountant

The Group Accountant cum Consolidation Reporting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the group financial consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves coordinating with various subsidiaries, preparing consolidated financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Compile and submit monthly/quarterly consolidated financial statements and reports to the management.
• Generate quarterly reports for announcements to Bursa Malaysia and submissions to Bank Negara Malaysia (in future).
• Offer support and communicate with subsidiary finance team members on accounting and group reporting issues.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurate, up-to-date, and regularly monitored.
• Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analysing account information.
• Draft audited financial statements, including preparing supporting documentation for figures in the notes.
• Identify and implement improvements in consolidation processes and reporting systems.
• Setting controls, work instructions, SOP for Group Account Executive.
• Other ad hoc duty assigned by Head of Finance from time to time.
• To succeed in this role, you have to:
• In-depth knowledge of MFRS.
• Experience in Group Consolidation and Financial Instruments; consolidation of foreign entities is an added advantage.
• Experience in forecasting and budgeting is an additional advantage.
• Experience dealing with Securities Commission/Bursa Securities is an added advantage (in future).
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Accounting & Finance field; knowing the disclosure requirement of a listed company is an added advantage (in future).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA / MIA / CA / CPA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar capacity; prior experience in the Big 4 and/or healthcare industry will be an added advantage.

• A good team player with a high level of maturity and independence.
