GROCERY SUPERVISOR

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all shelves are properly displayed at all times.
2. Ensure all shelves are properly filled and faced up at all times.
3. Consistently check and fill up the shelf to ensure no empty or half-filled shelves.
4. Order stocks in the department in a timely manner, taking delivery lead time into consideration to maintain sufficient supply.
5. Check and recommend slow-moving items for deletion.
6. Remove expired goods and goods with one month to expiry date from the shelf.
7. Ensure FIFO sequence for stock off-take from the warehouse.
8. During shelf display, always face out the older stock and place new stock in the back row of the display.
9. Ensure staff under supervision are properly trained and work according to their job duties, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
10. Plan for efficient management of the department and manpower allocation.
11. Monitor and follow up for payment collection for MOA issued by HQ for Block Display.
12. Promote selling of Block Display for the branch.
13. Issue MOA for Block Display after obtaining approval from HQ.
14. Ensure proper display of all POP.
15. Consistently check and ensure all items displayed have correct pricing.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Determine when a product is expired.
2. Maintain a strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
3. Ensure a safe and pleasant shopping experience for customers.
4. Be helpful and enthusiastic to provide great customer service to shoppers.

Job Requirements:

• SPM / diploma and above is preferred.
• Proven work experience in fresh market or similar role.
• Experience in safe food handling in a grocery store.
• Basic knowledge of produce and grocery items.
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and perform overtime as required.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
