Our team is dedicated to creating tools and infrastructure that empower our department to deliver exceptional products. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to join our Tooling Team and contribute to the development of internal tools that enhance our engineering workflows and productivity.

As a Software Development Engineer in the Tooling Team, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining internal tools that streamline our product development processes. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems and create tools that improve the developer experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of internal tools and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their needs and requirements for tools and features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues with existing tools and infrastructure.
  • Continuously learn and incorporate new technologies and tools to improve development processes.
  • Document tools and processes to facilitate ease of use and knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in Python and Perl programming languages.

Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and web design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

Eagerness to learn and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with or knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Awareness of security best practices in tool and infrastructure development.
  • Participation in internships, coding bootcamps, or open-source projects.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
