Job Summary: Agilent Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Sourcing Freight & Logistics Category Leader to manage a global spend of $250M. The successful candidate will ensure Agilent secures the best pricing and quality of service for transportation and warehousing services. This role requires expertise in running RFPs and managing relationships with industry leaders such as DHL, FedEx, KWE, DSV, LGI etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for freight and logistics to optimize costs and service quality.
- Manage a global spend of $250M, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality transportation and warehousing services.
- Lead the RFP process, including the development of RFP documents, evaluation of proposals, and negotiation of contracts.
- Evaluate, negotiate, develop and manage complex or strategic supplier relationships to secure terms that are in the company's best interest.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners, including DHL, FedEx, KWE, DSV, and LGI.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Global Logistics, Finance) to understand business needs and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and supplier performance.
- Deliver on the annual saving targets.
- Partner with Country Sourcing Managers to drive Category Strategy/RFP's.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in global sourcing, with a focus on freight and logistics.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale RFPs and negotiating contracts with major logistics providers.
- Strong relationship management skills, with experience working with industry leaders such as DHL, FedEx, KWE, DSV, LGI etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Experience in the technology or healthcare industry.
