Global Quote Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Global Quote Manager effectively standardizes, develops and manages the quotation process including documentation, trainings, and tool developments. The Global Quote Manager is the Quote Global Process Owner.
The Quote GPO helps the monitoring and control of quotes at preparation, providing support for the continuous analysis of actuals vs quote.
Close cooperation is expected with Business, Finance, Project Engineering, and Technology for smooth and effective processes, tools, and communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Standardize the Jabil Engineering Quote templates and periodically review them with the related departments to accommodate new technologies, new Jabil systems, and improving accuracy of the quote.
- Collaborate with Plastic, Metal, and Electronics Engineering, PMO, Business, and Finance during the development of new global quote tools. Work closely with IT/DF teams and monitor developments.
- Develop and proliferate the variance to quote tool and method.
- Provide training materials for the quote processes and variance to quote.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company with special attention to security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven proficiency across multiple disciplines and/or technologies.
- Fluent in business processes and best practices.
- Experience managing teams of resources located across multiple regions.
- Advanced knowledge of Jabil Engineering processes and initiatives, preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Jabil IT systems and capabilities, preferred.
- Advanced skills with, and understanding of quote, variance to quote, workcell variance processes, and KPI management is required.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business Administration is required.
- Minimum five (5) years work-related experience in relevant Jabil positions required.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
