Global Director of Engineering–Inventory Control (Based in Penang)

As the Director of Technology – Inventory Control, you’ll create and execute a technology strategy that pushes the boundaries of traditional material handling and ensures optimal flow across all operations. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, production teams, and logistics experts to tailor solutions that address site-specific needs and contribute to broader manufacturing goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Visionary Leadership and Strategic Transformation: Craft a compelling vision of the future, rallying stakeholder enthusiasm to transform operational processes by blending site-specific insights, customer feedback, and pioneering advancements. Engage global, regional leaders and all levels of the organization in a shared vision that encapsulates not only the strategic direction but also the cultural shifts necessary to embrace new ways of working. - Resource Optimization and Impactful Execution: Champion resource and budget management for innovating, validating and implementing impactful changes that drive efficiency within operational frameworks. Oversee resource allocation to ensure optimal use of assets and personnel, balancing budget constraints with the need for advanced tools and technologies. Implement rigorous evaluation processes to measure the efficacy and impact of changes, driving continuous improvements based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in leading operational transformation initiatives, with a track record of delivering value and driving process improvements. Significant experience with automation technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities, proven to navigate complex environments and inspire teams across functions with a positive, energetic approach.
- Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building strategic relationships and fostering teamwork across diverse groups.
