Our client is seeking a Global Customer Quality Director to be based in Penang. This role is pivotal in facilitating communication between all global parties involved, including stakeholders and customers, on quality topics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel to production sites and work closely with local quality teams and customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced quality manager looking to take on a challenging global role.

What You'll Do

As a Global Customer Quality Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's products meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for developing a global customer quality strategy that aligns with the company's objectives. Your role will involve frequent travel to various production sites where you will work closely with local teams, ensuring adherence to established processes. You will also establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance across all sites. Your ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams will be vital in identifying and resolving any issues that could impact customer satisfaction. Regular audits of production sites will fall under your purview, as well as developing training programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of local teams.

  • Develop and implement a global customer quality strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives
  • Provide support for quality escalations and customer dissatisfaction related to quality progress
  • Accompany customers during visits and audits and assist during ISO and IATF audits
  • Work closely with the local quality teams at the three production sites to ensure that the quality processes are being followed
  • Establish quality metrics and KPIs to monitor performance across all production sites
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues impacting customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular audits of the production sites to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve the quality knowledge and skills of the local quality teams
  • Provide regular updates on quality performance to senior management and other stakeholders
What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Global Customer Quality Director role will bring a wealth of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing teams across multiple locations is essential, as is your ability to communicate effectively and lead with confidence. Your problem-solving and analytical skills will be put to good use in this role, as will your willingness to travel frequently to production sites and customers.

  • Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing and production in semiconductor and electronics industry
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, IATF and other relevant standards
  • Experience in managing a team of quality managers and professionals across multiple locations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently to the production sites and customers
