GL Accountant

We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as a GL Accountant

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the full spectrum of Financial Accounting & Reporting and Tax Compliance functions.
2. Reconcile the ledger balances and ensure that accounts are accounted for.
3. Perform month-end closing activities and be responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting.
4. Prepare reports as required by stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Provide support to the process of rebate and commission due to customers and suppliers and provide calculations.
6. Calculate intercompany recharges and manage the recharge process.
7. Initiate and support process improvement projects.
8. Participate and support management's initiatives and reports.
9. Responsible for the annual statutory audit process and local statutory compliance submissions and ensure timely completion.
10. Prepare indirect tax (e.g. VAT / GST / SST) submissions and Corporate Income Tax returns for countries in APAC.
11. Support corporate secretarial activities.
12. Maintain documentation and filing and ensure compliance with policies and local regulations.
13. Participate in bank and treasury-related matters and reporting activities as required.
14. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA).
2. Minimum 3 years of operational accounting and reporting experience.
3. Ability to work independently with tight timelines in a dynamic environment.
4. Positive work attitude, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
5. Reliable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
