About Our Client

Our client is a World Class Private Members Sports Club with a deep history in Hong Kong for its contribution to sport, its members and the overall community.

Job Description

  1. Reporting to the General Committee, the General Manager will be responsible for:
  2. Ensure the operational objectives of the Club set out in the annual business plan are met and report to the General Committee on the operational performance.
  3. To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Club, its premises and facilities and maintain high levels of service at the Club.
  4. Ensure the Club's premises, Sports and Food & Beverage facilities and equipment are managed and maintained to a high standard.
  5. Champion the mission and vision of the Club and promote Sports in the local community.
  6. Represent the Club at the Club Manager's Association in Hong Kong and liaise with the managers of other Clubs in Hong Kong.
  7. In conjunction with the General Committee develop strategic plans for the Club and assist in making major business decisions relating to the operations of the Club.
  8. Observe and comply with all resolutions and directions given from time to time by the General Committee.
  9. Ensure the Club complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and the terms of the Club's Private Recreational Lease (PRL).
  10. Ensure compliance with the Club's Articles of Association, Bye-laws and Policy Statements and recommend amendments to the General Committee where needed.

The Successful Applicant

  1. The ideal candidate will be:
  2. Passionate in Sports and preferably have a sports athlete background.
  3. Solid experience in managing sports facilities or Clubs.
  4. General/business management experience, with P&L accountability is a must.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  7. Able to handle multiple stakeholders e.g. General Committee, Club members, Government officials, sponsorship companies, staff and so on.
  8. Experience in managing big commercial and sports events.
  9. Exposure in working in Asia or Hong Kong is an advantage.
