General Manager (Sales & Marketing) for Health Supplement/Nutrition Multinational

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goals and vision.
  • Lead market expansion efforts by identifying growth opportunities, new markets, and untapped segments.
  • Oversee product launches, promotions, and campaigns to increase market share and brand visibility.
  • Establish sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics for the team.
  • Manage key accounts, distributors, and retail partnerships to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Ensure effective implementation of CRM tools and systems to optimize the sales process.

Marketing Oversight

  • Direct marketing initiatives, including brand positioning, digital marketing, and advertising campaigns.
  • Ensure marketing strategies comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing content, such as brochures, social media posts, and educational materials.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.

Regulatory and Compliance Management

  • Ensure all marketing claims and product promotions adhere to local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain product and marketing integrity.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the department.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Manage budgets for sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • Oversee pricing strategies to remain competitive while maximizing profitability.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to track and report on P&L performance.

Partnerships and Networking

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and trade associations.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships to enhance distribution and market reach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the health supplement, Pharma, or FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the health supplement industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale sales and marketing teams.
  • Experience in digital marketing strategies and tools (e.g., SEO, SEM, social media).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and drive revenue growth.
