Position : General Manager ( Must have PEPC )

Job Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Division Performance
- Take full responsibility for the Division's performance.
- Independently lead projects of all sizes, including Mechanical Building Services, Sewerage Lifting Pumping Stations, Water Pumping Stations, Drainage Pumping Systems, and infrastructure-related pump stations.
- Guide a multi-disciplinary team through every phase of project development, from preliminary design to project completion.
2. Design and Drawing Preparation
- Oversee the preparation of feasibility studies, design briefs, schematic designs, and sizing of mechanical plant rooms and shafts.
- Provide detailed sketches for draftspersons to create accurate tender and construction drawings.
- Conduct detailed mechanical system designs, including specifications, bill of quantities, and schedules.
- Ensure all design calculations comply with relevant codes and standards.
3. Tender Document and Evaluation
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender documents, including specifications and bill of quantities.
- Evaluate tenders and provide clients with informed recommendations for acceptance.
4. Contract Administration
- Assist clients in selecting suitable contract procurement methods.
- Oversee contract administration, including reviewing contractor submissions and test procedures.
- Prepare progress payment certificates and address contractual variations and disputes.
5. Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Prepare consultancy expressions of interest and proposals.
- Engage in sales and marketing activities to secure new projects.
6. Management and Administration
- Execute management and administrative functions within the division and the company.
- Implement strategies to improve division efficiency.
7. Training and Self-Development
- Review outputs and provide guidance to subordinates.
- Act as a mentor and conduct on-the-job training for team members.
- Develop expertise in specialized consultancy services within the division.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and attend coordination meetings.
- Liaise with authorities for submission and approval of drawings and documents.
- Conduct periodic site supervision to ensure compliance with contract documentation and engineering standards.
- Manage the division’s participation in corporate social responsibility activities.
- Professionally endorse project drawings and documents.
- Execute tasks related to company operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM).
- Registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate from BEM.
- Minimum 18 years of relevant consultancy experience, including at least 5 years leading large projects.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams on complex projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and results-oriented.
- Team player with a good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
