General Manager Manufacturing

General Manager Manufacturing are responsible for the management of a wide variety of departments in a manufacturing business. He/She should possess comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, as well as a deep knowledge of the requirements and capacities of various departments such as Production, Plant Engineering and Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Packing, Lab, Compounding, Human Resources, Finance, IT, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Direct responsibility for setting and achieving key indicator goals for the plant.
• Ensure cost effective management and efficient productivity.
• Leads and drives relevant departmental heads and managers; and play a big role in continuing the transformation of the company resources and communicating the corporate vision and goal to all levels.
• Formulate strategy and tactical planning on area of concern and provides suggestion for continuous improvement.
• To drive and lead all automation projects, computerization programs and lean projects.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Stay up to date with latest manufacturing management best practices and concepts.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, adapting to market changes and maintaining a competitive edge.

Requirements:

• Experience with manufacturing industry is a MUST.
• Solid track record as an Operations GM with a technical focus.
• Excellent commercial and entrepreneurial track record.
• Inspiring leader managing large manufacturing and technical teams within a high-quality production environment.
• Strong ability to think technical and strategic at the same time.
• Experience in Six Sigma, or LEAN manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Strong proficiency in analytical thinking and adept problem-solving abilities.
• Willing to work in Klang area.
