GENERAL MANAGER (INTERNATIONAL MARKETING DEPARTMENT) - CHANCELLERY

Lead and manage the strategic development, implementation, and execution of international marketing initiatives targeted at attracting students globally. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of global markets, international education trends, and a proven track record in student recruitment marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, development and implementation of international marketing and corporate strategies based on institutional goals, market characteristics, and budgeted resources.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive international marketing strategies to increase student enrollment from key global markets.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and student preferences in various international regions.
  • Manage the development of the network partners - in-country agent representatives in the key markets for UniKL international student recruitment.
  • Analyze data to inform marketing campaigns, student recruitment strategies, and business decisions.
  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at attracting international students.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all international markets.
  • Develop the agency partnerships engagement strategy for the university.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including international agents, partners, and educational institutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including academic departments, student services, and international partners, to align marketing efforts with recruitment goals.
  • Represent the organization at international education fairs, conferences, and other promotional events.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulations and ethical standards in each target market.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree / Master in Business Management / Marketing / Digital Marketing / Commerce / Economics / International Business or any related field.
  • 20 years of working experience in the industry.
  • Working experience in Higher Education Business is an added advantage.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Marketing / Sales is an added advantage.
  • Extreme analytical and results-driven.
  • Solid presentation development skills, ability to tailor communication to a range of executive and technical audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools, Google AdWords, Digital Marketing, and online analytics.
  • Understanding of advanced marketing principles and target market.
  • Ability to multi-task and achieve high output while working to high standards, taking pride in producing quality work while managing a busy workload successfully to ensure that deadlines and targets are met.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable initiative and enthusiasm and the ability to lead and work collaboratively with the team.
