General Manager, Finance & Accounts

About our Client:

Our client is a leading player in its industry, with a diverse portfolio spanning manufacturing, trading, and distribution. They are seeking a seasoned General Manager, Finance & Accounts to drive financial excellence and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts for audit, tax filing, and regulatory submissions.
2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and legal frameworks, including the Companies Act 2016 and Income Tax Act.
3. Review and approve annual budgets, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
4. Manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure timely fulfillment of borrowing commitments.
5. Lead and guide the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
6. Conduct financial audits on contracts and manage the implementation of accounting systems.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications; MIA membership is essential.
2. 10-15 years of managerial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of guidelines from authorities such as the Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia.
4. Proficient in accounting standards, Companies Act 2016, and Income Tax Act.
5. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Proactive, independent, and capable of working under pressure with a commitment to on-time delivery.
7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
8. Experience with Public Listed Companies and merchant banks is required.
