Job description

General Manager (Club Operations)

Salary Range: RM8,000 to RM10,000

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the company and ensure business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, and meet organizational goals.
  • Evaluate the company’s financial, operational, and sales and marketing structures to plan for continual improvements and a continual increase in operating efficiencies.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver results, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Analyze and evaluate business performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Manage company budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Report directly to the Group Executive Director (GED) or any designated position appointed by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience with 3 years in a senior management position.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior leadership role, ideally within the gaming industry (preferably with bottom-line responsibilities).

Skills / Competencies

  • Strong understanding of business functions, including operations, finance, sales, and human resources.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of driving growth and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.

  • Chinese-speaking/Non-Muslim staff due to the nature of the business.
