Job description
General Manager, Asset Management Department, Group Operations
Lead the formulation of strategy for the overall SIRIM’s Asset Management Plan through land planning and development initiatives for monetization, maintenance of project infrastructure, asset verification and disposal as well as ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements by providing leadership oversight in the development, implementation and monitoring of the action plans so as to achieve SIRIM’s business growth and sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the generation of revenue/income from the rental of building space, facilities, and equipment as per business plan.
Provide overall control and management of CAPEX, OPEX and ABM within the approved budget and time and optimize resources to achieve the optimum yield.
Lead and provide tactical and technical expertise towards the achievement of cost-saving initiatives for SIRIM Bhd.
Drive strategic business frameworks on asset management for capitalizing on identified opportunities across SIRIM’s businesses and approaching new prospects.
Provide strategic & tactical leadership in ensuring all assets are properly managed, sustained, function, and optimized towards conducive and safe environments for its stakeholders.
Lead in the planning and development of land initiatives as part of the monetization efforts related to its strategic planning, conceptual development and drafting of project brief.
Oversee and manage the execution of the Land development project upon approval, ensuring the project is developed as per the Contract and undertake its Contract Management prudently and diligently.
Provide leadership and guidance to develop, enforce, maintain, and monitor policy, procedures and systems for the department in order to strengthen integrity and governance, quality, OSH, environmental, and business performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or Maintenance or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of relevant working experience.
Well-versed in several key areas in Project Management, Project Development and Contract Management.
Possesses strong business acumen, strategic agility, problem-solving, and innovative mindset for process improvement.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Excellent presentation and leadership skill sets are required.
