Job description

We are seeking a General Manager (GM) to lead our operational efforts in executing cooperative projects effectively. The GM will oversee staff at headquarters and branch offices, manage departmental functions, and prepare essential documentation and presentations for management. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the cooperative sector and a strong understanding of SKM guidelines. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Job Description

  • Successfully execute the cooperative project, ensuring timely completion, quality, and adherence to budget.
  • Monitor and supervise all staff in HQ and branch offices, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Oversee all departments, including operations, finance, human resources, IT, and subsidiaries to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and prepare necessary paperwork, reports, and presentations for management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Provide regular reports to management on project progress, operational performance, and other key metrics.
  • Develop and implement policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with cooperative activities and SKM guidelines, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with other executives, departments, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximum adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Perform other tasks as directed from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; proven experience in the cooperative sector is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of leadership, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations management, including process improvement, supply chain management, and financial management.
  • Ability to think strategically, with a focus on driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, trends, and best practices, particularly in the cooperative sector.
