Gate Coordinator

As a Gate Coordinator at BKHICD., you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our logistics facility in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah. This full-time position is responsible for managing the flow of vehicles and personnel at the facility gates, ensuring a smooth and organized process for all stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate the arrival and departure of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and cars, to ensure timely and efficient gate operations
2. Monitor and record vehicle movements, shipment information, and other relevant data to maintain accurate records
3. Communicate with drivers, carriers, and other logistics personnel to address any issues or concerns that arise at the gates
4. Assist in the enforcement of safety and security protocols, including the inspection of vehicles and personnel as needed
5. Collaborate with the warehouse and transportation teams to optimize gate operations and identify areas for improvement
6. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all stakeholders

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a similar gate coordination or logistics-related role, preferably in the warehousing, storage, and distribution industry
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with drivers, carriers, and other logistics personnel
3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle various situations at the gate
4. Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping, with a keen attention to detail
5. Knowledge of safety and security protocols in a logistics environment
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
