Garden Center Retail Supervisor

As a Garden Center Retail Supervisor at WENS HORTICULTURE SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our garden centre in Miri, Sarawak. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience and that our retail space is efficiently managed.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and train a team of retail associates to provide excellent customer service
2. Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maintain an attractive and well-stocked retail environment
3. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet store targets
4. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
5. Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and seasonal displays
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
7. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support the overall performance of the garden centre

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail supervisory or management role, preferably in a garden centre or similar environment
2. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team
3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking skills
4. Proficient in inventory management, merchandising, and sales analytics
5. A passion for horticulture and a deep understanding of gardening products and trends
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Familiarity with retail software and point-of-sale systems
