About the position

As a Game Designer Intern, your main role is to work closely with our Design team to add content to the game and create and improve game features. You will be part of a game development team and work together with the other disciplines to drive and fulfill the vision of the game and to deliver an experience that meets the expectations of the players and the team. You will help out with designing and balancing features, building levels, creating stories and quests, onboarding, and more. Together with the team, make sure that the project planning and documentation are up to date and, through play tests and feedback, iterate on the games. You will get the opportunity to work on our own established IPs as well as work with some of the biggest brand clients worldwide.

Starting date: Depending on your internship period

Reporting to: Managing Director, Malaysia

Location: Malaysia. Preferably for hybrid/in-office work at our PJ office. Option to work 100% remote from home, company time zone MYT. Discord and Slack are your best friends!

Work time: Full-time - 40 hours a week

Responsibilities

• You are a self-driven versatile designer and a good team player.
• You are responsible for the product design including gameplay design, system function design, uniqueness, and must be well liked by the players.
• You create detailed design documentation, game flows, system designs, digital economies, and UX/UI.
• You are efficient in coming up with fun and interesting new game ideas, detailing, producing new game demos, continuing to test, and meeting players’ expectations.
• You communicate and collaborate clearly and effectively within a cross-functional team.

Who you are

• Some experience in Game Design, Level Design, UX-Design, Monetization, and Systems Designs.
• Basic level of Design, Scale, Pacing, and Gameplay Flows.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken. Malay or Mandarin are a plus, but not required as our working language is English.
• Must be based in Malaysia.
