Online learning for children needs to be more accessible, engaging, effective and of course - fun!

Responsibilities

• Mentor and assist team members in development, design, debugging and planning in regards to game development and full stack web development.
• Maintain and improve all of our existing services, such as the app (the main focus), website, help center, backend, video conferencing, game multiplayer networking, interactive whiteboard, analytics, and others.
• Develop necessary tools for verifiers, marketing, game developer and other departments as the need arises.
• Maintain and improve all of our staff tools for game development pipeline (from GDevelop plugins to end-user deployment), marketing (such as backend communication with SendGrid, analytics extraction and visualization).
• Decide and suggest on which technologies to adopt.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in an IT-related field is optional, but a good plus.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies/platforms/frameworks/libraries: Git, Javascript (Typescript is a plus), React, Node.js, NPM/Bun, Next.js, Chakra UI, React Hook Form, Lottie, Framer Motion, Legend State, TanStack Query, Socket.IO, Redis, Stripe, yup, Jitsi, Sentry, GDevelop, Ubuntu Linux, Docker, Caprover, Min.IO/S3, Directus, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Plausible, Linode, VPS, Storybook, Husky, ESLint, JSDoc, SendGrid.
• Familiarity with version control systems: Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Strong track record of utilizing established UX Laws to create user-friendly UI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English and Malay.
