Conduct financial planning and analysis to pinpoint weaknesses and variances in financial performance, offering actionable recommendations for enhancing P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow outcomes.
Track business financial performance and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring adherence to RBU and Group guidelines and timelines.
Develop realistic, high-quality budgets by thoroughly reviewing inputs for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with established procedures and financial goals, and providing valuable suggestions for improvement.
Consolidate data and actively participate in budget discussions and meetings.
Assist Company Managers and RBU Controllers in making sound financial decisions across all business areas, including profitability and margin assessments for sales, and payment terms and mechanisms for customers.
Collaborate closely with BU Controllers, CSU, and Commercial teams in financial contract management for both customers and suppliers.
Evaluate ownership of equipment and parts delivered for projects, ensuring accurate inventory classification.
Ensure inventory valuation aligns with Group policies and accounting standards, validate quantities, and support inventory counts and reconciliations for discrepancies.
Collaborate with purchasing departments on financial matters and coordinate with CCC and Group on tax and legal advice when needed.
Act as the custodian of cash for local operations, executing treasury activities per Group policies and guidelines.
Maintain, update, and report treasury information in the Group Treasury System as required.
Assist BU Controllers in monitoring financial assets, improving working capital, and managing liquidity.
Analyze trends in collections and stock turnover to optimize fund utilization.
Coordinate with Group Treasury to reduce transaction costs and maximize interest income, repatriating funds when needed.
Monitor overdue customer payments and initiate appropriate actions.
Manage business cash flow forecasts, enhancing accuracy, and participate in cash pooling activities.
Ensure sufficient cash is available for obligations, administering external borrowings or Interco funding in coordination with Group Treasury.
Assess and manage foreign exchange (FX) risks proactively, providing insights to support decision-making on FX exposure with customers and suppliers.
Track the business’s transactional FX exposures and assess implications for P&L and balance sheets, adhering to Group policies and standards.
Collaborate with Group Treasury to develop strategies for mitigating FX losses, including hedging foreign currency cash flows.
Partner with HUB teams to review and finalize month-end and year-end financial closings.
Prepare and submit requisite reports to Group and RBU, and assist in creating customized reports when necessary.
Work with HUB teams on annual stock and debtor reviews, prepare audit schedules, and draft audited accounts where applicable.
Finalize audited accounts and collaborate with HUB to compile the BPC legal pack for annual statutory submissions.
Ensure compliance with Group internal control procedures and DOA policies.
Review business processes, recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls.
Work closely with RBU Controllers, HUB, and CCC to resolve internal audit findings promptly and effectively.
