Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Food Quality Control (QC) Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that all food products meet the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and process improvement within the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible in Company planning.
  2. Responsible for delivering optimum quality of a company’s products.
  3. Ensures the maintenance of consistent quality.
  4. Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures to meet the company’s Quality Objectives.
  5. Trains and motivates employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
  6. Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing to information analysis.
  7. Ensure compliance with Food Act, other related Acts, regulations, and standards, recommending improvements where necessary.
  8. Plans and supervises on daily inspection at Incoming Quality Control, Process Quality Control and Final Quality Control.
  9. Ensures compliance of all FSSC 22000 standards of the Company.
  10. Liaises with purchasing department on compliance matters.
  11. Conducts internal audits, supplier audits and any other audit activities as defined in the QMS.
  12. Participates in customer audits and follow up on the corrective or preventive actions.
  13. Responsible for the inspection and handling of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products and disposition of defective and reject products.
  14. Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes.
  15. Assists in the recruiting process.
  16. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
  17. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  18. Works closely with other departments on quality related matters.
  19. Performs other related job duties and ad-hoc projects assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Degree in Chemistry / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
  2. At least 5 years proven working experience in similar capacity in manufacturing sector preferably in food industry.
  3. Knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP and Halal Standards.
  4. Experience as Management Representative / Lead Auditor in FSSC, ISO and HACCP implementation and documentation will be an added advantage.
  5. Good leadership, strong interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
