To understand in country fleet logistics for all marine fleet. Overall responsibility to clear in and out Vessel, Personnel, and Cargo for different project across the SAF portfolio. Reports to Marine Installation Manager or Marine Construction Manager.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in the EPCI industry or a related marine industry
Strong knowledge of marine industry regulations, vessel operations, and best practices
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Proficient in using fleet management software and tools to monitor vessel activities and facilitate decision-making
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, crews, and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement
Familiarity with EPCI projects and their unique requirements would be considered an asset
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day vessel operations in compliance with project requirements and industry regulations
Develop comprehensive vessel deployment plans to maximize operational efficiency and minimize costs
Monitor vessel schedules, ensuring timely deployment and movement of vessels for EPCI projects
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize vessel allocation and optimize vessel utilization
Coordinate and communicate with crews, ensuring adequate staffing and optimal performance on vessels
Address and resolve operational issues, including vessel breakdowns, delays, and emergencies
Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, including fuel consumption, cargo movements, and downtime
Implement and continuously improve fleet operational processes and procedures
Conduct regular performance assessments of vessels, analyzing key metrics and identifying areas for improvement
Monitor vessel performance indicators, such as fuel efficiency, crew productivity, and maintenance costs
Provide regular reports and insights to management, highlighting performance trends and recommending corrective actions
Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proactive maintenance of the vessels
Stay updated with industry trends and regulations, implementing necessary changes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance
Contribute to the development and implementation of KPIs for the fleet operations department
Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts related to fleet operations
