Fire Safety Engineer

A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions, specializing in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high-end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct acceptance testing for data center or server room fire protection systems and infrastructure in accordance with standards, regulations, MoS, test scripts, and testing plans.
2. Assist in developing technical standards and testing specifications for fire protection equipment in data centers.
3. Organize and document original test data upon completion of testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
4. Oversee routine inspections and maintenance of fire protection laboratory equipment, as well as periodic verification of laboratory instruments.
5. Execute customer-commissioned tests and on-site testing, compile test results, and submit reports accordingly.
6. Monitor the progress of testing tasks, report non-compliance issues and anomalies to senior management.
7. Carry out other tasks assigned by management, respond promptly to urgent departmental matters, and collaborate with colleagues on various assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in HVAC, Fire Protection, or a related field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in data center or server room acceptance testing.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system installation and commissioning.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Proficient in using office software and relevant professional tools.
7. Proficiency in English & Malay is preferred.
