Job Description

Promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance products to the Bank's existing and potential customers.

Job Title: FSC

Grade: U9-U8

Location: Branch

Reports to: Regional Director

Job Purpose:

  1. To promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance products to the Bank’s mass and mass affluent customers.
  2. To provide professional advice on appropriate financial products based on customer needs.
  3. To ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent after sales services.
  4. To work closely with Preferred Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking Relationship Managers for referral on potential affluent customers.
  5. To plan and implement sales activities related to Bancassurance products.
  6. To act promptly on all leads and follow up activities.
  7. To achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the achievement of the region target.

Key Product: Bancassurance

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Planning

  1. To promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance life insurance products to the Bank’s existing and potential customers.
  2. To provide professional advice on appropriate financial products based on customer needs.
  3. To ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent after sales service.
  4. To plan and implement sales activities related to Bancassurance products.
  5. To act promptly on all leads and follow-up activities.
  6. To acquire good knowledge of Bancassurance products in the market.
  7. To achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the achievement of the branch target.
  8. Manage sales pipeline by participating in sales management routines.
  9. Keeping abreast with accurate and updated information on products, services, etc.
  10. Participate in CPD activities to increase knowledge and skills.
  11. Update branch managers on status of activities and any issues when necessary.

Sales Execution

  1. To actively market and sell Sunlife products to all customers.
  2. Actively involve in cross-product sales activities to ensure optimal customer reach, product exposure, and effective operations that optimize delivery to customer.
  3. Ensuring success of all relevant sales campaigns.

Customer Relations

  1. Handle customer inquiries diligently, resolve or escalate the necessary to the relevant parties.
  2. Refer customers to the relevant officers or salespersons for other products and services.
  3. Resolve customer complaints and escalate to the respective parties when necessary.
  4. Develop and build long-term business relationships with customers.

Compliance

  1. To ensure the completeness and accurateness of customer's documents and information for sales execution and submission.
  2. To perform housekeeping on business documentation efficiently. Avoid exposure and exercise caution on all confidential information.
  3. To submit the necessary documents to the relevant parties and follow-up in a timely manner.
  4. To strictly comply with CIMB Bank's policies and procedures, including credit control procedures, audit compliance, BNM Guidelines, etc.
  5. To comply with sales code of ethics and governance.
  6. To respond to compliance inquiries from both vertical and horizontal as well as audits, etc.

People Management

  1. To promote and encourage teamwork by providing assistance to colleagues, branch lead generators, supervisors, etc.
  2. Sharing knowledge and new ideas with the team.
  3. Maintaining a conducive and professional working relationship with team and customers.
  4. To project a professional business image at all times through high standards of housekeeping and personal grooming.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Minimum a diploma/degree in any field.
  2. Minimum STPM/SPM (must obtain credit in either Bahasa Malaysia, English or Mandarin, and Mathematics).

Education: Degree in any discipline

Skills:

  1. Good networking skills, customer focus, confident, proactive, and result-oriented.
  2. Excellent communication skills, proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is preferable but optional.
  3. Computer literate (e.g., basic Microsoft Office).
