Job Overview
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible to oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading the financial reporting process. This role involves working closely with various departments to gather financial data, analyze financial performance, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP, MFRS and IFRS.
- Manage the group consolidation process for financial reporting, including the elimination of intercompany transactions and balances, as well as the disclosures of related parties' transactions.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of regulatory reports, including SSM and LHDN in Malaysia, SEC and tax authority in Australia and Philippines and other required disclosures.
- Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting processes.
- Financial Analysis & Insight:
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing guidance on financial reporting impacts.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of financial reporting personnel.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the financial reporting function adapts to changes in business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Systems & Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and implement financial reporting systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the financial reporting function.
Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Member of MIA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, MFRS and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and internal controls.
- Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
