Job description

The Finance team's primary goal is to improve business performance while maintaining strong controls. Reporting to the Group Recharges Manager, the Group Recharges SME will manage recharge-related activities and balance competing priorities, such as Tax, Statutory, MI, Intercompany, and internal businesses. The role will also contribute to an ongoing transformation project focused on process standardisation, simplification, and digitisation.

Description

  • Take full ownership of the assigned recharge cycle(s) based on best practice models, including reviewing the recharge cycle with senior stakeholders upon completion.
  • Perform recharge calculations for the assigned portfolio using the recharge tool.
  • Oversee the group invoicing process and related reconciliation activities.
  • Provide support and challenge to the process, including reconciling the cost pool, ensuring business understanding of the costs, and evaluating the appropriateness of proposed charges.
  • Participate in the governance process regarding strategies for cost pool changes, allocation methods, and the framework used to justify allocations to relevant authorities.
  • Prepare business cases and obtain approval from tax and business leaders for new or updated recharging methodologies.
  • Support statutory teams by ensuring the recharge process meets statutory and tax requirements.
  • Contribute to governance meetings by discussing the impact of changes in accounting and transfer pricing regulations, as well as organisational changes to support the company's future.
  • Manage key risks related to business functions under the group's responsibility.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives and projects.
  • Handle ad-hoc operational requests, including tax and audit inquiries.

Profile

  • Seasoned experience, preferably 10 years within the Financial Accounting line.
  • Solid understanding of technical accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with head office/central cost activities, particularly in relation to recharges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and financial awareness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
