Role Description
In this leadership role, you'll be a key player in inspiring and nurturing our exceptional team of accountants, guiding them on their career journeys within the company. Together with your team, you will empower our customers to grow their businesses by managing their financial accounts, optimizing cash flow, and delivering insightful management reporting. This will enable our clients to understand their business performance and make informed decisions. You'll collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, championing business excellence and ensuring timely, accurate service delivery. By enhancing our clients' financial operations, you'll help uphold our commitment to the highest service standards.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with Clients: Understand our clients' financial needs by scoping exciting projects, allocating resources effectively, and providing tailored advisory services across all accounting and financial functions.
- Ensure Excellence: Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reports while also assisting clients with cash flow management. Your keen attention to detail will make a difference!
- Champion Compliance: Maintain strong compliance with financial regulations in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, and internationally, ensuring our accounting systems meet all required standards.
- Collaborate with key partners: Work closely with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, authorities, and statutory bodies to ensure smooth communication and cooperation across Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
- Drive Innovation: Initiate process improvements and special projects that enhance financial efficiency and boost client satisfaction - your ideas will be valued!
- Lead and Inspire: Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, helping them grow in their skills while ensuring they provide exceptional support to clients. Act as a key communicator, delivering the vision, messages and updates from the leadership team to the accountants.
- Manage Financial Health: Oversee aspects including working capital and foreign exchange exposure to contribute to our clients' success.
- Build Bridges: Collaborate with other departments to foster teamwork and drive innovation.

About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years in a leadership role, preferably within financial accounting or business advisory.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and align the expectations of multiple internal and external stakeholders including C-suite executives effectively.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, with a willingness to proactively enhance proficiency.
- Experience in managing a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail in complex financial operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for coaching and developing team members.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken) with the ability to influence the team and various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage direct relationships with clients, ensuring their financial needs are met while providing expert consultancy.
Salary: RM10,000.
