Finance Senior Executive / Assistant Manager

Purpose of the position:
To support the department head on daily finance, account, treasury, taxation, audit, and GST work tasks and to ensure effective completion on time for the department.

Key responsibilities & duties:

• Responsible for day-to-day finance, account, treasury, taxation, audit, and GST operations tasks.
• Ensure all account functions are completed according to SOP and regulatory requirements (i.e., inventory, fixed assets management, account receivable, account payable, claims, bank reconciliation, BA, tax submission, monthly GST submission, etc.).
• Able to maintain a full set of accounts on time according to department SOP.
• Verification of journal entries accordingly.
• Prepare monthly account management reports and achieve the submission deadline.
• Conduct financial analysis and commentary.
• Conduct stock counts and audits for each subsidiary as required by the HOD.
• Suggest and propose improvements on the department-related process flow.
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and tasks as requested by management.

Academic or trade qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or Partial Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent.

Work experience and skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Required language(s): Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Excellent communication skills, including multiple languages.
• The ability to interact successfully across cultures.
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, strong judgment, and decision-making.
• Willingness to work extra hours and demonstrate high commitment and responsibility.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
• Able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of M3 software is a plus.
