Oversee financial operations in the China and Hong Kong region, including month end closing; review and analysis of financial and management accounts; consolidation of accounts, banking and treasury matters.
Ensure proper maintenance of accounting & taxation transactions in compliance with local regulations & requirements.
Collaborate with local finance teams on corporate finance matters, restructuring & corporate exercises, feasibility studies, budgets, cash flow projections, financial analysis and evaluation of performances, variance analysis, cost control.
Formulate and implement effective internal control policies and procedures.
Supervise financial operations in China and Hong Kong, ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate goals.
Prepare financial reports and provide financial analysis and respond to inquiries from management regarding financial matters.
Liaise with bankers, lawyers, external consultants, and other stakeholders, as and when necessary.
This position requires frequent travel to China to oversee and manage on-site financial operations.
Any other works to be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Possess minimum Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification(s).
At least 8 years of relevant working experience. Those with managerial experience would be an added advantage.
Exposure to regional accounting operations and strong understanding of tax compliance and accounting standards in China and Hong Kong would be an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL & WORD.
Good command in English & Mandarin (verbal & written). This role requires communicating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
