Finance Manager (Manufacturing company in Mainland Penang)

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Manage statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance corporate governance.

3. Financial Operations & Controls

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash flow management to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Optimize working capital, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning to support business growth.
• Monitor and enforce company financial policies and procedures for efficient financial management.

4. Process Improvement & System Enhancement

• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and reporting structures.
• Identify opportunities to enhance cost control, operational efficiencies, and overall financial performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, compliance, and financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
