Finance Manager (FMCG)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to lead their General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams. This role offers the opportunity to oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact by streamlining and automating accounting processes, preparing yearly budgets, and ensuring adherence to audit requirements.

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our client's GL and AP teams. Your excellent attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of month-end and year-end closing reports, as well as reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations. You will supervise both teams, ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and accurate reconciliation reports. Your innovative thinking will be utilized in identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes for increased efficiency. Additionally, your expertise will be called upon in preparing yearly budgets for senior management approval.

1. Develop and lead the General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams
2. Ensure the month-end and year-end closing reports are accurate
3. Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
4. Supervise the GL team to ensure the accuracy of the reconciliation report
5. Supervise the AP team to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations
6. Prepare a yearly budget and present it to senior management for approval
7. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes for increased efficiency and accuracy
8. Ensure the accounting process and documentation adhere to audit requirements
9. Perform various ad-hoc tasks as required by senior management

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years spent in a managerial role. You possess a degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent qualification. Your proficiency in SAP accounting software sets you apart from others. Your strong leadership skills enable you to manage teams effectively while your good interpersonal skills allow you to connect with people at all levels within the organisation. You are self-motivated with an analytical mind that thrives on accuracy and attention to detail.

1. Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
2. 5-10 years of working experience in accounting or finance with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
3. Proficiency in SAP accounting software
4. Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage teams effectively
5. Good interpersonal skills with initiative, self-motivation, and an analytical mind
6. High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail
