Job description

Job Description:

  1. Provide leadership to finance and accounting areas of the organization and work closely with other Finance Managers.
  2. Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy, and provide guidance and analysis to executive and operational management to improve results.
  3. Maintain a system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets.
  4. Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
  5. Maintain control of the following areas: general ledger, accounts payable, expense reports, and billing.
  6. Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  7. Develop, implement, and maintain processes and controls that are current best practices related to transaction processing.
  8. Manage, oversee, process (as appropriate), and act as backup for processing all of the necessary transactions.
  9. Perform month-end closing procedures, including overhead allocations, account reconciliations, and updating schedules.
  10. Coordinate the preparation of financial information in the corporate annual report.
  11. Recommend and report upon benchmarks against which to measure organizational performance.
  12. Provide financial analyses and models as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  13. Prepare preview and final financial statements and periodic reports to the management to facilitate cost control.
  14. Work with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all qualified requests.
  15. Lead and manage a team, including selection/hiring, objective setting, performance management, coaching/development and training.
  16. Prepare a variety of ad hoc projects and duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  2. Professional qualification in accounting or finance (CPA, ACCA, MIA or equivalent).
  3. Minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience, including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis (including gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to management and external stakeholders).
  4. Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  5. Proficiency with accounting software and excellent Excel skills.
  6. Ability to sustain high level performance, problem solve and meet demanding work deadlines with limited supervision.
  7. Advanced written and verbal communication skills both in English and Mandarin is preferred.
  8. Knowledge of Quickbooks Online and Kingdee ERP will be an advantage.
  9. Inquisitive with a strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.
