Finance Manager (Automotive)(Subang)

This job requires you to be in charge of a full set of accounts including costing. You will manage a team of 5 persons while assisting the Finance Director on day-to-day ad hoc finance matters.

Description

You will be in charge of:

Financial Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the manufacturing plant or business unit.
• Manage and supervise the finance team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Cost Accounting & Analysis:

• Implement and maintain a robust cost accounting system to track and analyze production costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Provide cost information to support pricing decisions, product development, and operational planning.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the manufacturing operations.
• Develop and monitor financial budgets, ensuring alignment with production targets and business objectives.
• Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee the financial aspects of inventory management, including valuation and reporting.
• Analyze inventory turnover and identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient inventory control and minimize stockouts.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.

Profile

You will be suitable for this role if you:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Min 8-10 years in a finance role within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

Job Offer

You will be rewarded with an attractive salary of RM 10,000 - RM 15,000 monthly.
