Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the Accounts Department, including month-end and year-end period closing, inventories control, account payables and receivables and general ledger.
- Lead and supervise a team of finance staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting which complies to MFRS accounting standard.
- Timely month-end and year-end closing and preparation of management reports and comprehensive analysis of financial results.
- Prepare annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required by management.
- Responsible for managing the company's cash and liquidity positions, including overseeing the management of cash flow, cash balances, and hedging of forex requirements that comply with FEA Rules issued by BNM.
- Review inter-company transactions between related parties to ensure that inter-company balances are reconciled. Engage with respective inter-company stakeholders to minimize differences where applicable that comply with TP Rules.
- Review tax estimates, computations, tax returns and liaise with tax agents for tax related matters.
- Liaise with external auditors for yearly statutory audit requirements.
- Liaise with bankers on matters relating to banking facilities and trade lines to meet working capital requirements.
- Liaise with external consultants and relevant government authorities as and when required.
- Undertake other tasks or participate in ad-hoc projects, as may be assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or any Professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/MIA).
- Strong understanding of MFRS, Malaysia Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing Rules, and FEA Rules.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Able to multi-task, meticulous, result-oriented and hands-on.
- Good interpersonal skills, and able to work as an excellent team player under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting) will be an added advantage.
