Finance Manager - Malaysia (Leading Global Biotech Company)

Our client, a leading global biotech company, is seeking a Finance Manager for their Malaysia operations. In this pivotal role, you will report to the Regional Finance Leader and local leadership teams, providing strategic financial insights and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The Finance Manager will assess financial risks, manage OPEX and CAPEX, and ensure compliance with both local and US GAAP as well as statutory requirements.

This role requires regular collaboration with the Manila Business Centre and various teams, while managing one direct report. You will also support global/regional projects, financial planning, and business performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a business partner, providing financial support and insights to different divisions.
• Identify and communicate financial risks, proposing corrective actions.
• Oversee accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting in line with local and US GAAP.
• Lead and contribute to global/regional financial projects.
• Manage and develop a small team, with one direct report.

Required Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the biotech or similar industry, with a strong understanding of SAP 4 HANA and financial reporting platforms.
• Expertise in managing financial operations in compliance with both local and US GAAP within a matrix organization.
