Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of the Finance Department.
• Review management accounts, financial reports, and forecasts for the entity company to ensure the revenue, expenses, and balance sheet are accurately captured.
• Manage processes for accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee the audit process, including providing guidance and support for the audit of the company, and all related statutory financial reports.
• Review and monitor cash flows and capital expenditures.
• Support operational finance matters, assisting in the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
• Perform monthly P&L forecasting, monitoring, highlighting, and suggesting advice including improvements when variances are expected to exceed the threshold.
• Minimize financial risks by assessing and evaluating potential direct/indirect impacts from the variances, which may impact the company and/or its future business decisions.
• Act as a financial advisor to the management to identify weaknesses in financial reporting across all subsidiaries and make necessary adjustments to existing processes with a view to improving the transparency and accuracy of our financial reports.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and cash flows.
• Undertake any other ad hoc assignments assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Possesses at least a Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of working experience in finance.
• Experience in retail chain store and audit is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills – Mandarin and English proficiency, verbally and written, is a must.
• Accounting knowledge in ERP system is an added advantage.
